Waxoyl it and add some soundproofing if there is none in the rear. Then drive it for 6mths without spending anything on upgrades. Your list will change over that 6mth period to what you feel is important.

Best advice so far Thumbs Up

That 6 months will uncover any issues/bodges by previous owners 1993 200 Tdi 90 CSW

Everyone has mentioned it as a priority, but when it comes to security, what are the best options?

I like the relication devices from https://www.landroverdefendersecurity.com/
And quite a few small bits from

https://uproar4x4.com/collections/defender...uproar-4x4

But what about anything electric? Anyone use a kill switch, immobilizer etc... or do you just have to accept if they want it they will get it.

How bad or how easy to bypass is the Puma alarm system?

Cheers

OK
Had the new toy for about 2 weeks and my head i battered. I need to do something about the noise. It's beyond characterful.
Mine is a lovely 2114 XS, but with no carpets it's just too rattly and i can hear every puddle or stone on the road.

I've just spoken to Colin at deadening.co.uk and he's recommended and supplied me a complete set of silent coat 3mm black and the foamy stuff for under the roof. I'm going to mimic what TMD tuning do, but ovbioulsy not for the same cost.

Start the strip out this weekend so can post photos as I go.

Also bought the exmore premium carpet set so fitting that on top. Can't wait to actually meddle with it. Will post images as I go.

Cheers
Paul
