Mystery tubeless Wolf Wheels
Afternoon all,
When I bought my used 2008 110, the P.O. here is Germany chucked in a set of "tubeless Wolf" wheels to be used for winter tyres. Since my cellar is overflowing with Landy parts (like the rest of us) including wheels I have decided to stick these on Fleabay to make some space.
Problem is, I can find no manufacturers marks at all, so they don't appear to be homologated and may not be road legal sausage side. Can anybody help me identify them?
The only markings are on the inner rim 6.5x16x20.6 covered by encrusted brake dust..I have cleaned every mm of the wheel and it is all I can find, nothing between lugs or around the valve or anywhere else.
If anybody can shine some light on the origin of these it would be great..
Ta much Banging Head Banging Head

On a genuine Wolf HD wheel there are plenty of other markings, including the part number which starts by ANR plus 4 or 5 numbers. You can find all the details if you search for a few older « Wolf wheels » threads on here. See below.
To find out if yours are real or not, a first test is to weigh them. A genuine Wolf HD wheel comes in at about 16.2 kg on the scale. In one of those older threads there is discussion about some so-called genuine ones which weigh only about 12 kg. To use one of DJT.’s favorite expressions, those obviously are very fake.

Thanks for your reply Eric, I had genuine HD wolf wheels on my old 300tdi and they had markings between the lugs, these are obviously aftermarket / pattern but the quality is quite good, I just don't know by who (Britpart, Bearmach, Paddocks?). They weigh in between 15.5 and 16 kg according to my bathroom scales and 7.5mm steel thickness at the hub according to my verniers.
I suspect these were manufactured pre-2006 before the EU norm on rim markings was introduced. These have no part numbers or any other information apart from the stamping inside the rim (brake side, thus the dust).
