Kitchen cabinet hinge
Does anyone know what hinge this is on a top mounted kitchen cabinet door is.

How do you adjust them? Have a tendency to just lower the door rather then holding it up.

Any help appreciated.

Thanks

No idea what type, but the adjustment looks to be via that hole on the bottom face to jack the lower pivot up and down. You can see the sliding scale moulded in the plastic. 2007 110 TDCi Station Wagon XS

As far as I can see that adjustment is for how high the door goes.

My gut feeling is that it is something to do with the gas strut. Am wondering if it needs replacing?

Gas struts are mega cheap on eBay even if you have to buy a couple to get the right size and strength. 2007 110 TDCi Station Wagon XS

Not sure what make that one is, but it will be adjustable, as it will be fitted to different size cabinets, so have to deal with a range of door weights. Possibly best to remove hinge from unit to find the way to adjust.

These are two possible adjustments

As per Brendan & Bluest, I would also suspect the strut.
If the door fits correctly, then unless the adjustment screws alter the friction on the hinge in any way, I would leave them alone.
I can't make out the part numbers on the strut from the photo, but try googling them to see if you strike lucky for a replacement.
If they are easy to swap and you have another cabinet with the same hinges that work, why not try swapping them over to prove that it is the strut/s.

My best guess is its probably a Hafele hinge, they have a live chat thing on their website so worth a go, doesn't look that old so they will probably just replace it if its the gas strut

I maybe completely wrong of course!

Hi Brendan, I would guess the gas strut is the soft close damper.

use a black sharpie and mark across the two adjustment points in their present position so you can move it back to present, then have a twiddle!

Actual door position looks like its controlled by the slotted holes. and is there a spring inside of the aluminium section to the door?
