Hairdressers car.
And what is it with all these white cars and black wheels? they look like the kind of car an LA gang memeber would drive. |

Mike - agreed, white cars with black wheels look cack.
Ken - they still don't quite handle as well but it's good to see Merc giving BM a run for their money at last. Audis don't even get close - all style, no substance. Mostly FWD, silly suspension, comedy understeer. BM still lead the way with their powerful soot chuckers (the 350CDI engine is way down on power and torque) but the C63 is the only car I will look at over an M3 (which sadly can't be had in Touring form!). One thing Merc do a little too much is cover their cars in rather naff chrome and DRLs. However a black C63 estate with a sunroof and sensible alloys (i.e. not massive) would keep me smiling all the way to the petrol pump... Defender 110XS SW gone... now VW California 180 4 Motion. |

That Merc van (with the naughty engine) seems to slip under the radar.
The 180PS Transporter gets all the limelight yet is much slower! Defender 110XS SW gone... now VW California 180 4 Motion. |

A little bit of a sweeping statement perhaps? Unless you mean just their SUVs/4x4s? Many BM models are "better" than their Merc counterparts (and Mercs are rusting badly at just three years old still) but Merc do some good models too - like the G Wagon. I hate all Jeeps and every Audi except the RS4 and R8 is pretty average. White is for RS 911s, Golf GTis, trade vans and UN vehicles - that's it. Defender 110XS SW gone... now VW California 180 4 Motion. |

The only experience I have of Mercs is an old G-Wagen some friends of the family used to have, it was an early one and VERY basic. My father-in-law has a 350 CDI Coupe (I think thats whats it called) over in Portugal which I must admit is a very very lovely machine. 2011 110 USW

I had a WHITE lwb G-Wagen and it would pee all over any LR or Jappy motor... My RS4 was £4£ the best super car on the planet and it could seat 4 in 4WD comfort... Mercs are built by accountants now. 2008 RS4 gone, 123d M Sport, and a Puma 90 XS..

No i meant any BMW, Audi and Jeep - not one of them scores full marks - i wouldnt even like BMW if they were any good out of principle. Audi's are a little better. Jeep they are as as any day of the week. White works on the Sport and the special edition disco in fact on the defender - ive found there is an age group that seem to no like white cars...usually these people can be clasified as "OLD" or "Close to Death"...usually followed by saying "shows the dirt" possibly i wont go on Mike |
