2008 Defender 90 Puma 2.4 SVX Soft Top Santorini Black

Just to muddy the waters on this but has anyone looked into the legality of these? Do they protrude into the “swept area” of the wipers?

A little pedantic I know but there has just been a major campaign at work to remove all offending items from or near the windscreen (including sat navs, air fresheners, operators licence discs etc) following a DVSA check and immediate prohibition PG9 on one of the trucks for a small home made shelf placed on the dash only slightly protruding above the parked wipers, it ended up affecting the company’s OCRS score and the driver reported to the Traffic Commissioner, despite the driver removing it when asked.

Again not being awkward as I like the look and practicability of them but in these days of a self funded DVSA and a having a reasonable chance of being stopped with a Defender especially if towing or in the event of a major accident! maybe some to look into further. Formerly mao99999
