Yes I have tried and have also told Truck-Lite.

Have seen a few variations of the reputable manufacturers name Truck-Lite. Have seen Truck Lite, Lite Truck, Truck Light etc.

Now it is an offence under the Road Traffic Act to 'sell, fit or use a defective item' on a motor vehicle. eBay willingly gives a platform to people selling illegal/stolen/counterfeit items but basically they do not give a fig as they make money out of it.

The only time I have been successful in getting stolen items removed from ebay was when I knew items had been stolen either from JLR factories or their supply chain. After informing JLR the listings were removed in less then 24 hours.

If items are too cheap there is normally a very good reason why.

Last year my eBay account was hacked and I was selling cheap dash cams Whistle To be fair eBay were really good, however 3 people had purchased £100+ dash cams for £24 within minutes. One even messaged me a week later and I quote "weres my stuf ?" Rolling with laughter
As you say it's usually cheap for a reason

Forum users need to warn other people of different scamming techniques. It is not so long ago some scamming barsteward managed to scam various users on here.

If things look too good to be true they normally are wrong.

Also truck-lite 7 inch rounds can be sold in singles so if you see an E-bay add that looks cheap(£200 ish) , yes it will more than likely be a genuine unit but it'll be only one.

A quick scout of ebay brings These EBAY Truck-lites that look pukka enough providing the seller is genuine. (No relation or endorsement given)

I paid close to this amount a few weeks back for a pair of truck-lites and they turned out to be either the worlds best fakes or the real deal Rolling with laughter

I'm happy and they have all the correct markings on the bottom of the lens.

I have seen a pair of the knock off T-L's and whilst they look the same there isn't the info on the lens and Don't quote me as I haven't seen them for a while but IIRC they don't use the Osram led chip like the genuine one does. as I can see on mine the logo of the chip.

Either way it's a joy to drive to and from work in the dark

Have a look at the latest version of a LED headlight from Truck-Lite here

4x4overlander has them for sub £300.

Hi Brendan,

How does the light output from these cheaper Truck-Lites compare to the earlier versions and the new Gen 2 ones?

I've got a pair of the original ones, and am wondering if the cheaper ones are as good/better?

Thanks

Jon
