Wales 2007 Defender 90 Other CSW Trident Green
I have also recently received like millions of others a similar email quoting a password I had only used for my Adobe account though the password was old having changed it after the Adobe site was hacked.

The internet is alive with hacking tools keyloggers etc. Personally, there is little one can do about it except to make sure you have up to date Virus and Malware protection. The fact that this site is not fully secure should come as no surprise as the site holds no sensitive data. And of course, users should make sure that tracking protection is switched on in your browser, although the best security you can adopt is not to use the same password for multiple sites.

On the paranoia scale, this site for me remains very low, I can not see many hackers spending time trying to harvest passwords or email addresses from this site as the financial gain from doing so would be very low.

I am a little concerned though, but not overly worried until more information is given in how someone obtained SS's password, I am certain that Martin after he has investigated this occurrence and found if there is any need for us to be alarmed, he would inform us.
In the meantime, it might be a good idea for anyone who uses their password on this site for any other site to change it quickly on the other sites, particularly if the site holds any financial data relating to you. For those who like Welsh Mountains and narrow boats have a look at my videos and photos at..

Thanks Martin. Top work as always Thumbs Up

My wife got the same type of phishing email (the watching porn / video etc.etc). She doesn't have a Def2 log-in but it did quote a password she has used in the past. She just can't remember which website.

Obviously she paid the 800 bitcoins as requested and is on a suckers list for the rest of he life....... Whistle

It would appear to be a new round of emails using an old set of data from various sources. Including from here apparently.
