Just for info...tyre outlets have various options when it comes to purchasing tyres - the cheapest my tyre shop achieved on BFG's was directly from Michelin. Might be worth mentioning.

£175 each fitted was only a few weeks ago. 110 DCPU

Ok, so its looking like - £161.95 from 4x4 tyres delivered. Then my local tyre centre will fit them for £10 (cash! Wink ) or £12 if you pay on a card, per wheel inc. balance and valves.

This gets me to the £172 price range that you guys have achieved.

Thanks again both

Has anyone weighed the bowlers vs standard Alloys or asked Bowler. I like the look but wondered as they are advertised as lightweight how much weight saving there actually is?

I have always wondered this with most of their product line?

I'd be interested to hear how they compare to say the standard boast alloy or steel wheel Thumbs Up

LRO wrote "These 8x18-inch, UK-made wheels have been designed by Bowler for its racing Defender, their lighter weight - compared to Boost alloys - lowering the unsprung weight of the axles."

I can't imagine they're that much lighter? Confused Shocked James

Mine are awesomely light. Sometimes I think I'm driving a Caterham, the feedback is so precise and sharp. Whistle

In seriousness, my current set up (18" Bowlers + BFGs, on a 2.4 DCPU that some on this forum think may have the HD springs) is definitely lighter and more responsive and with better feedback than my previous set-up (16" Blindos + Cooper ST Maxx, on a 2.2 7-seat 110SW with standard springs). But is this because of the combined set-up or just the wheels or tyres or springs or DCPU weight or engine weight etc etc? Hard to say, but I definitely prefer driving this to any other Def I have ever driven. Thumbs Up Monsieur Le Grenadier

I've not been everywhere, but it's on my list.....

They're definitely not the standard white, I'd guess Limestone but can't say exact colour for sure. Looked great with a matching roof.

I spotted a different Bowler with the same colour scheme, it really is lovely.

Hi Charlie,

What was the fix for mounting the 18 bowler on the standard spare carrier?

Cheers,

BK

Could someone tell me the inner barrel diameter. I want to fit these wheels to a 2020 defender. Any help would be appreciated.

These wheels have a different bolt pattern to your new Defender and won't fit without adapters. Darren

Are these not the same wheels that will be offered for the defender challenge by bowler? Are they using an adapter then?
