I had the AS 10 immobiliser reprogrammed three years ago with, touch wood, no problems since.
In the last week I've had three instances when operating the ignition key all symbols on the dash display disappear and the engine will not fire up. Leave it for a few minutes and all is normal. I've checked and re-tightened my battery connections and I'm told by the gentleman who reprogrammed the immobiliser that I have the start of an ignition problem. Has anybody any idea where I start looking please? New ignition barrel, chafed wire. new battery leads? The Defender is a 2002 TD5 110 which had a new ECU harness two years ago. Thank you. |
