United Kingdom 2012 Defender 110 Puma 2.2 XS CSW Orkney Grey
Brownchurch Rack
Is this a Brownchurch Rack? t's being sold as one but I'm not sure it is as it doesn't have the double legs. Not sure it really matters but be nice to know to get the price right. TIA

It could be , they did a single leg, and a HD twin leg rack. Brownchurch rack normally have triangular feet hooks, that hook under the outside of the gutter, and these have a threaded section welded onto them, that then fix to the rack kegs that sit IN the gutter. Also it looks like it has front support struts down to bulkhead, o/s anyway, so yes it could be. They also have triangular braces on the first and last leg each side.

I’m pretty sure it is as I used to have one just like it which was definitely Brownchurch.
It looks like the heavy duty version which has extra struts which come down to the windscreen hinges at the front and bolt through the body capping and the rear to help spread the weight off the gutter.
Mine also had three removable slats to allow the sunroof to open fully.

Looks like one of the 'standard' Brownchurch ones to me, although there war another manufacturer that made a virtually identical rack that.

Best Regards

Chris

Seller says it is genuine with plate and everything. I think it probably is.

Was thinking of adding the blue stripe back Whistle James

Exactly, but... I do agree the red and blue is not ideal... Confused

Funny, my first 90, I took the stripe off as well! James
