Not an aviation fan at all but we just returned home from Goodwood Revival and seeing the 4 of them in the sky was worth the travel all the way from OZ alone! m

We did some work on a few sets of Spitfire exhaust manifolds last year, it was strange to hold something that might have been in the Battle of Britain! (they were pretty damn old) 1993 200 Tdi 90 CSW

What I can't understand is how we could build and fly them fairly quickly during the second world war, and yet with modern day engineering techniques, it takes ages and costs an arm and a leg just to keep the surviving ones going.
