Stereo removal & wire colour coding. Bluetooth installat
Hi all,

New to this site and really enjoying it, so much info, story's, pics of aspirational trucks in amazing places, just getting to know my own one and learning a lot from being here. last night I did the aerial extension worked really well. Thanks to Andrew for that Thumbs Up

Just wondering if anyone can help me, trying to install a Bluetooth kit in my 08puma.
Have the kit its a standard NOKIA ck-7w.
Bluetooth wire colour coding goes like this,

RED + Positive
Blue - Negative ACC
Black GRD (Presume this is ground?)
Yellow Mute

In the l200 I took this out of it went,

Kit to Car
Red wire to Yellow wire
Blue wire to Red Wire
Black wire to stereo case I think.
Yellow to mute on stereo socket.

Would really appreciate some help with this, any advice will be a help.
Thanks Bill.

Personaly would get the parrot bluetooth kits any of them are great and all you have to do is remove the block connectors from your radio push them into the females of the kit then put the male connectors of the kit in to the radio easy as that run the mic lead round the door seal and fit a small screen to the dash you can see who is calling every thing, easy to fit and normaly less than £50 on ebay If everything is under control you are not going fast enough.

Thanks
Thanks for the quick replys noworries4x4 & Dgardel exspeshaly for the diagram, didn't expect that.
Dgardel don't suppose you would be Abel to tell what one is the negative terminal?

If I can't figure it out I might just get a Parrot kit looked them up quite cheep alright, would just prefare to do the work myself as I live in the middle of nowhere, most of the day is gone with a trip to a Halfords or the like & just love thinking, That's one reason we love defenders Wink 08 Puma 90xs

Socket "A" terminal n°8 "earth" or 31 or GND or Ground or Negative

Check that pin on Socket "A" terminal 4 "Permanent Positive" (or 30 0r +12V Perm.) ON YOUR CAR be always +12V with or without car key inserted.

For the Socket "A" terminal 7, "Switched Positive" (or 15 or +12VAcc. or +12VSwitched), check that you take off the key from the car has not tension on it (0V).

Hoping to help you......

ONLY the Socket "A" terminal 7, "Switched Positive" (or 15 or +12VAcc. or +12VSwitched)

the Socket "A" terminal 4 "Permanent Positive" (or 30 0r +12V Perm.) is connected directly to the battery.

remember that the DEFENDER CONNECTORS ARE DIN (the same of my scheme) Discovery 5 td6 HSE Stornoway Gray Outback Engineering Limited Edition
