any help suggestions much appreciated.
I've got a VW Polo and trying to fix the cd part last night entailed disconnecting the power and hey presto as to be expected it now requires a code to be input. can anyone suggest how I should obtain this? I believe it's the original radio from the factory and the car has been service for the first circa 7 years at VW. I presume a quick call to them and they'll give me the code FOC ? or is life not so simples? if not what the plan of action? many thanks ![]() |

how flaming stupid is that.
after speaking to VW and being VW don't charge but the local VW telling me they charge £30 I've gone out to try a code I found that starts with AU (audio maybe) and ends with 4 digits which is the number of digits the radio requires (ttbomk).... anyhow turn the radio on and hey presto its working ![]() the damn cd still doesn't work though ![]() |

would seem in this case the code is a complete waste of time or somehow it talks to the ecu?
I have no idea? ![]() but like you say google is king. ![]() |

Just to ask the obvious, it's not in the car's manual is it? Mines in the front page of the owners manual (the dealer wrote it in when the car was sold).
On the Defender I have the code cellotaped to the top of the battery under the passenger seat ![]() |
