The husky was awesome- I did love it, but with moving to Cyprus, I wanted the better frontal protection of the Roo-bars (and to mount aux lights), and I guess I wanted more performance. The challenge of building a good winch on a tight budget was an attraction too I can't wait to test it out- I am sure there will be more than a million chances to when I am in Cyprus . Glyn |

I got the bumper from Peter " Nakatanenga- He had it sitting on a shelf in his warehouse for ages so was willing to sell it to me.
The lights are Lightforce 240 XGTs- the Blitz wouldn't fit because they would sit too high and protrude way past the front of the bars , but the light is awesome . Glyn |

Glyn,
Just a minor word of caution. Be prepared for the Cypriot Police! They seem to have very inconsistent behaviour when it comes to nudge bars and extra lights. In some parts of the island (particularly in the West around Paphos) they periodically stop vehicles and give out spot fines to drivers of vehicles with aftermarket bars and spots fitted. There seems to be some unwritten law about only allowing these things on vehicles if they were factory fitted. As I say, there seems to be no hard and fast rules about it, you might get stopped, you may not. I've never been stopped, but I know people who have. Pete |

I have heard this too, and by the sound of it, it is a case of anything- so no winch bumpers of any sort.... I will have to just stick to the back roads It is going to be more of a weekend toy than a daily runaround Glyn |

Nice one! I don't know how long your stay is likely to be but enjoy the island. It's a fantastic place with (in the main) great people, excellent food and reasonable beer. Have a Keo for me if you're out there soon. I'm not out there again until July! Pete |
