Central lock on rear door
Has anybody worked out a neat way of connecting an actuator to the rear door of a defender for central locking that does not involve having bits of rod poking out of the door card?

Only way it can be done really. A mudstuff rear door card would hide it though Thumbs Up 2002 90 Td5 Station Wagon

fit one of the later type one piece rear doors - the whole door is far superior to the earlier ones, they're galvanised steel as standard for a start.

Unfortunately mine is a 2004 TD5 so the Mud Stuff will not fit. I do not want to go to the cost of replacing the door plus my rear door is mint absolutely no rust on it anywhere.
Does anybody have a second hand lock from for a rear door that I can buy? I might break into one and see what can be done!

In that case it should have the later pressed steel door. Just buy the genuine parts and fit them.

The rod comes out of the top of the lock to a swivel, then goes across the door. 2002 90 Td5 Station Wagon

Is this the right part for a 2004 TD5 rear door to central locking (rounded corner windows)

https://www.sp-4x4.com/ProductDetails.asp?...p;CartID=1

These guys seem considerably cheaper than the other shops, should I be worried about quality?

I do not surpose anybody knows the part number of the plastic bracket (white thing in picture) that goes up the top that the 2 link bars connect to?
