A few years back we called in after a 300+ mile run to stay nearby for a week or so. I said to my wife 'right get me an extra large pastie'...................after some time she returned to the Land Rover with the biggest pastie I have ever seen. It was as hot as the sun and probably weighed nearly as much. It took some time, sweating and loosening of belts before I saw it off

Walking back from Constantine Bay to Treyarnon many moons ago our old lab, Buster, suddenly stopped, stuck his head in the hedge by the road and pulled out a pastie. From then on, he was sure pasties grew on bushes in Cornwall. Took us ages to walk anywhere with him, bless his soul (miss that dog).
