7/16 A/F tap size
To those who understand the imperial system of measurements (I certainly don't Confused )

Can anyone tell me the tapping size for a bolt that uses a 7/16 sths spanner.

Bolt in the thermostat housing of the series III 2,25P. not sure but think it is UNF.

I beleive that would be a 1/4" UNF. It has a finer thread than an M6? If coarser it could be Whitworth. Land Rovers are an addiction. Toyotas are for quitters.

was UNF - thanks and spot on.

I grew up with the Metric sustem and can't fathom how anyone uses such a complex set of numbers in the Imperial. Each to their own I guess Thumbs Up
