2011 Defender 90 Puma 2.4 SVX Station Wagon Santorini Black

My Interior

Finally finished off a 3 month rebuild of the interior this morning. The inside has been fully soundproofed, rear deck has had everything stripped out, been dyanmatted, and treated with rubber checker plate, rear seats removed. Never used them. The rear door card was recovered in Napa leather to match the high back buckets and cubby box.

The front has been fully soundproofed and the new leather door cards have been covered in 3mm foam for further sound insulation. Really does make a difference inside. Double din upgrade was already in when I bought it.

Alcantara headliner, MUD LED interior lamps and to break up the black interior, red seat belts, the others had suffered from being shut in the doors too many times.

The cubby insert houses my CTEK indicator / charger, USB’s and Lazer front and rear, Utility 45, light switches.

Added in the RR puddle lamps, LED bulbs, a great mod, stolen from here, but so easy to do and makes a massive difference.

Finished off with hertitage gear and transfer shifters, as rare as hens teeth, but worth it IMHO. Under the gear shift is a slick shift to take out any slack too, which really does transform a Defender.

Those eagle eyed amongst you will notice the absence of a handbrake, that was removed and replaced by an electronic hand brake. Have to say, for someone 6ft 3”, it makes a heck of a difference in lateral leg room driving on long distances.

As with all our Defenders, probably not to everyone’s taste, but suits mine and I’m proud of the effort. And those that are curious, yes it has seen the mud, often.

I like it. Great job done. Mine will be black with a hint of red too but I doubt they'll be much love for my gear knob!

For DIY you’ve done a great job. Also, really like the balance. Just enough leather to make it smarter and more comfortable, not so much that it looks bling and loses its Defender essence. Nice

Out of interest, where did you get the seat belts from? Monsieur Le Grenadier
