I thought about that but it clashes with something else I'm doing.

It should be a good "meet", they always are.

Hi Prezzy,

Sorry but i've only just come across the thread, how did it end and what did you finally accept ???
I'm interested as I worry about my Defender and if anything were to happen to it.
The quality of an insurance company can only truly be judged when you make a claim by which time it can be too late and you can regret going with the "cheapest"
I also had a new Fiesta ST, we'll I did for 20 months until some low life scum took a liking to it and although I got paid out quite well on it i still "pay" as it affects every insurance quote and premium etc and it was classed as the opposite to a "no fault claim", so in effect its classed as being my fault
Work that one out !!!!

Mark

I had the same, a 'Beep' drove into my D3, I had video of the whole event and even though they claimed it was my fault the video killed their claim off. Anyway jump forward 6 months and even though not my fault, my premium went up by around 20% and this stays with me now for 5 years!

I'm not going to say how much I was paid out but lets just say it was more than I originally paid for the car but not as much as I'd hoped it was worth (we all overvalue our cars but they are great motors).

My insurance has gone up 20+% even though I had protected no claims.

Also I didn't get a "courtesy" car because the vehicle hadn't been involved in an accident (read the small print on insurance documents). Rolling Eyes
