Clutch Differences 2013 vs 2016
Hello,

My daily driver 2013 Defender has 83,000 km. I recently serviced it by doing engine oil, front, ear axle oil and transfer box oil.

I will be going through the clutch as the rattle is rather annoying and it is time to replace it, comparing it to my 2016 Defender Adventure the clutch bite is different and the force is much heavier.

Is there a new OEM part for a clutch kit that improves the experience, or should I go aftermarket ?

In addition the manifold needs to be checked again and install a new gasket as the air leak has gotten worse. 2016 Defender 90 Adventure Edition

The later ones had a slightly different hydraulic set up and the clutch plate was revised. They're all interchangeable, and if you order a new one from a Land Rover dealer is supersedes to the later type anyway.

The 160bhp versions of run out special editions - I'm not sure if your Adventure is one of them, also had an uprated clutch from new. However the kit for it is £1300 from Land Rover!

86,000 KM on the original faulty clutch it rattles and it is getting more annoying and heavy to push down.

I have recently ordered a new clutch and clutch slave cylinder to install.

Also replacing the gearbox oil with Motul 300 and installed a Nakatanenga turbo exhaust gasket which now performs better. 2016 Defender 90 Adventure Edition
