New side steps for my 110 which ones?

OK so my original side steps I never liked really with the alloy tread cover, I would like black to match my truck

However over the past few years I have sanded and painted a few times and from a distance they look ok... However they need doing properly. Given the cost to do this is probably around the same as new side steps? I will also try ad fit fromt mud flaps to help save them a bit longer.

Seems I have 2 option, one similar to mine but the fire & ice option (all black)

Next looks like a platform step rather than round bar, but looks neat?

What do people think of either? Its going on this...

The ones in the middle pic look more like tree/rock sliders? They look like they fit a lot higher than the XS-Style side steps?

Better for off-road, but probably not good as a step for shorties??? Defender "Puma" 2.4 110 County Utility (possibly the last of the 2.4's)

Looking at google images your right.

The other ones sit much higher and for the kids / Mrs not great

So that narrows my choice to the fire & Ice ones

Have a look on Leeds (Brendans site) he has some very nice ones from a certain German company which I can never spell correctly

2015 HT XS 90
2008 SVX 90
2000 XS TD5 90

Safety Devices were prototyping some very nice rock sliding steps. Very nice but dread to think what they'll cost!

I'm with you they look horrible, just because they are made from a good company imho does not mean they are nice.

Looks like I've found some steel in the garage and had a go at welding...

Look like they would suit a 007 pickup replica but not a family truck

Thanks for the option though

Hello a picture fitted would be good.

I need ones that actually offer a step rather than rock or tree sliders

I have young children and a mother in-law that needs to be able to use them to help get in 👍
