I have no experience of that type of barrow but I would have thought that the looped handle would be awful to use. Generally when I wheel a barrow I stand between the handles with my arms more-or-less by my sides; with that one you'd have to have your hands in front of you which, I would have thought, would be exceptionally tiring.

That one looks pretty good!
I have got through 3 recently. The only one that survived good punishment was a Chillington one - and it's still going strong after 20 years! 2 newer, cheaper ones died doing a build project, but the chillington's still going strong http://www.haemmerlin.co.uk/products/performance-series/flexi-up/ They do a twin-wheel one too http://www.haemmerlin.co.uk/products/first/twin-kit/ It's one of those "buy cheap - buy twice" things. The two-wheel versions are not as manoeuvrable, you can't lean them to go around corners. Also, agree that handle doesn't look easy to use.

That one looks very similar the haemmerlin one and it's £65 for air tyres which I upgraded on the other one to puncture proof.. so at £76 with the puncture proof tyres...
Your right I've had cheap £25 / £30 ones and while they do the job they don't last. Good point about where you stand to shift it? will the handle on the double ones be worse than two seperate 'std' wheelbarrow handles?  |

Last wheel barrow I got was £15 and its still going strong 4 years later. Sod paying £92 for one

AJC depends how much you use it I....
I finished ours off moving 10 tonne of gravel around the drive  probably over filling it far too many times
I guess I should be more careful storing it also though |

I have a 2 wheeled version which the tyres have gone flat.
Used it a bit, but it wasn't as useful as I thought it would be. The wheel base being wider is no use when going down narrow paths or uneven ground. Turning is more difficult as the tyres are dragged around. When pushing you can be thrown to one side if a wheel hits an obstacle. Now looking at single wheel solid wheels. Stable when loading though. 110XS CSW TD5. |

Fort wheelbarrows are very popular here. Here’s a picture of mine now at 15 years old, living summer and winter out in the open, not really sheltered, often abused. It surely has another 15 years of life in it. Not even expensive.
