Need help on Intercooler decision

My intercooler has developed a crack and needs replacement. wanted to take this as an opportunity to decide on BAS intercooler. Couple of questions

. Does it make sense to upgrade the intercooler without any remap?
. Will it change the performance?
. Any other issues that needs to be aware of?

It takes 10-15 days for delivery in UAE through a specialist garage. Other option is to go for the standard one and get the truck within a day.

BAS Intercooler will fit without any further mods... You may notice a slight increase in performance due to better cooling/internal flow... Good mod and easy enough to do.

2011 Defender 110 Puma 2.4 USW Santorini Black

Had an uprated intercooler (Alisport) fitted to my 300tdi - not much difference except for better towing - more torque.
Then had the fuel pump optimised (equivalent to a remap) - performance and drivability transformed.
Now have a BAS intercooler and remap on the 2.4 tdci.
To get the most out of a BAS intercooler get the remap as well.
Pete's back up is second to none

i haev an Allisport and an Alive Intercooler on my 2.4s both are well made and touch wood so far no problems with them. Cheers
