I sometimes get this, changed the starter motor when it first happened but has since done it again, when i first got it i changed all the locks so they worked off one key but the ignition switch wasnt genuine ( i dont think any way) so that going to be my next port of call but so far it only happens every now and then

Have you checked all the wires /cables to the starter? I had a very similar issue, with intermittent failure to start. Turns out a loose connector plug on one of the wires to the starter. I re-crimped all the wires to the starter and cleaned all contacts and been fine since.

Might be a dead spot on the armature

Either flat spot on the starter cog, or (as I found) a lose / corroded / not connecting earth somewhere.
power going to it, but not from it to anywhere. Hence the jumps work but from the battrys doesnt. TY&GN 10 years in a WOLF, WIMIK and Snatch and this is all I have to show! |
