Snow and a Burk in a BMW 4x4
You can picture the scene....

"Snow in the road, I have a BMW 4x4. Lets go to work..... I'll be OK in my 4x4. Lets go.
And we are off. Corner ahead, I am in a BMW 4x4 it will go round fine. WHAT!!! Break aaaaaagh the house..... Why are there bricks stuck in my radiator??"

Yes, you guessed it, the Censored braked and turned to go round the corner and the wheels lock up and the car goes straight ahead into 2 houses. No 1 daughter only moved in last week!

Turns out he is insured but not taxed, so I reported it to the Police. At first they were not that bothered but when I gave them the registration number, they checked it and got a bit more interested..... Cheers Don.

Why do you think the licence plate made them more interested?

Don, our local road, unclassified, no white centre line is about 3/4 mile long and straight. Middle section of about 1/2 mile is 60mph dropping to 30 mph at each end where there are bends.

Snow or ice, cars are into the dry stone walls at either end. Braking and steering to get around bends in slippery conditions is not the most sensible thing to do. At one end have had at least 3 cars imbed in the walls and looking at the tracks in the snow a few people have had brown trouser moments recently!

We have cars with L plates on, P plates on, maybe we should also have D plates standing for ......????

PMSL Don. I get fed up with certain drivers who do not know the rules of the road and which side we are supposed to drive on!

When approaching a T junction/cross roads I am very tempted not to approach them with so much caution as I am fed up with idiots cutting the corner so badly that their nearside wheels are on my side of the centre line.

Winch bumper v offside doors of a euro box? I would say no contest!

Brendan, Ive started doing the exact same thing and it amazes me how many give you pi55ed off looks because you have stopped them cutting across. Whilst mainly euroboxes I am finding an increasing number of idiots driving Range Rovers.

Kia and Hyindai drivers should be added to the list. As well as all the Eorobox cretins, they usually add front fogs (even in sunshine) to the list of cretin-worthy activities behind the steering wheel... Defender "Puma" 2.4 110 County Utility (possibly the last of the 2.4's)

This used to happen a lot on a local lane to me, the owner got fed up with having his wall rebuilt that last time it happened he piled the foundations and concrete infilled, from what I saw, I wouldn't want to hit it in an arctic let alone a ford fiesta.

Went out last night for a couple of beers, (I take the wife ,a non drinker out, and she takes me home) it was snowing hard all the posers were out in BMW's, Range Rovers etc. driving at 15mph making a complete balls of it . The looks and reactions I got driving past in the Defender was priceless. Don't make old people mad.
We don't like being old in the first place,
so it doesn't take much to Censored us off.

Dear Lord, this thread has certainly lost direction, we have a BMW X5, and know how to drive in the snow. Just thought i'd put that out there, please understand, not all BMW, Audi etc drivers are "cretins" as suggested. Enjoy the snow, and stay safe.
