John Ridgeway and his family used to (possibly still do) run an outdoor centre across the loch there. I think the un-named road is the 'road end' to their property. John rowed across the Atlantic with Chay Blyth way back when. I visited once, and they had the rowing boat in a shed by the house. It was primitive and heavy - a long way from the carbon kevlar things used for such adventures these days.

I know they used to have a galv-chassis LR to get stuff in/out of the centre. It has a pretty rough track, and parts only accessible at low tide. Donald

Yes there is an activity centre just down the track, it is sign posted as private so we did not drive it. The 110 is on a galvanised chassis and looked completely original, station wagon trim. I have checked the registration number on line & it is on a sorn.

Very nice.

I hope it hasn't been abandoned and will not stay there for long.
