I did have a strop so stopped for a cup of tea. Two of the bolts didn't go in straight so I ended up with a spinning rivnut, which after plenty of faff I managed to get the bolt out and then I tightened the rivnut again. Then used some coperslip and a bit more care. All done. Bolts are a bit long.

They do look the part Thumbs Up

Just in case anyone else is considering these guards, they do indeed fit KBX surrounds.

I've had these fitted for probably 3 years now and there's not a sign of corrosion etc. so hopefully that'll provide some reassurance to the group buyers - they have got themselves a bargain Thumbs Up

Well, if Flatdog still need 10 orders to make this viable we're at three already.

If no-one else wants to volunteer, and as long as I'm not stepping on any toes from the first order, I'm happy to get in touch with Flatdog and see what they say.

Never done a poll before, but I'm assuming a new one poll/post string would be the best way forward.

If no-one else jumps to provide any opposition, by let's say close of play tomorrow, I'll get in touch with Flatdog and see what they say. Then, if it seems to be still viable, I'll post a new thread/poll with the details.

Sound OK? Donald

I'd be up for it too. No amount of calling or emailing allowed me to contact Flatdog and make payment first time round. Monsieur Le Grenadier

Hey guys,

Ok. Because no one raised any objections (!) I've gone ahead and emailed flatdog this afternoon. I'll give them a bit to reply, and if nothing comes back, I'll phone.

I'll come back here to update you all. If it's a go-er, I'll start a new thread/poll; if the 'computer says no' then I guess it would end here.

Watch this space!

Hi folks,

I've just spoken to Ben at Flatdog. It turns out he has 3 or 4 of these unbranded guards on the shelf - not sure if everyone went for them in the previous run? Or maybe some had problems getting through and paying as has been said above.

So given that the earlier deadline has passed, he's going to do these on a 'first come, first served' basis.

So that's it - there are 2 or 3 sets left, ready to go, you'd just need to get in touch with Ben to bag yours.

He did say that he wouldn't be averse to putting through another production order for unbranded ones, maybe not as many as 10 needed this time round, but I'd leave that to someone else if the demand is there.
Cheers
