Whilst not the sexiest of modifications, these should make it easier to keep stuff in place in the back of the pickup:

Belgium 2015 Defender 110 Td5 HT Chawton White
Here's the setup in our 110: rails on the upper side of the tub, near the edge of the bench and on the cargo floor.
They're all fixed using rivnuts.
Nowadays the benches are also covered with the multiplex used for concrete mouldings, so the floor is on the same level als the cargo rails.
Last year the spare wheel finally got its place outside.
