110 double cab pickup parts?
Can you buy the parts to convert a 4 door 110 Station Wagon into a double cab(4 door) pickup?

Anything is do-able in a defender....



The "rear" cab part (AQA711010 £394.64, minus the glass pieces!), is the piece used on a truck cab. so, best bet is to get a complete truck cab and unbolt the roof (but don't throw it away... see below...)


The roof is a double cab "crew cab" piece, part # AKA500100NAL and £2152.60 UKP!! however.....

If you're half handy with sealer, a jigsaw, pop riveter, maybe TIG welding, you can get a 90 roof, a tape measure, and chop the back part of it off.
Then take your truck cab roof, chop the rear curved part of that off, then glue the two pieces together using sealer/rivets/TIG and hey presto! crew cab roof!

you then need the lower bulkhead (which you can't see in your picture), but it goes behind the middle seats.

Either bend up some ali sheet, or get ABB710040 £287. which is the bulkhead.

The rear floor and inner "wing" sides are also shown as different in microcat... you can buy the complete "kit" AQA710560 for £2332 if you want it to be totally factory.

plus paint of course.

Do the profiles match up if you do this? I had an idea that the standard hardtop and crew cab roofs were a little taller than a 90 truck cab, but I may be wrong.

It's probably a good thing that the recent "Countryfile" programme didn't show wannabe villains how to unbolt the crew cab roof, bearing in mind the price of a replacement!

Don't forget that you'll also need the tailgate and fittings.
