2011 Defender 110 Puma 2.4 SW Keswick Green

Is the Aluminium Body Panels Earthed

I'm installing a SUB behind the cubby box of my PUMA and need a earth in this vacinity. There is some Bolts close by holding body pannels together behind the box. Will this be earthed?? I dont feel like running a designated earth into the battery box. Although I have to do this for power lead to the sub already...

Whilst the Ali panels will be 'earthed' to some extent you could be just saving a problem up for yourself later in life.

In long run it is much cheaper and easier to run all auxiliary negatives back to the battery via a common negative bus bar in an auxiliary fusebox if need be.

Last week saw a 90 where front aux spots not working. Cause of problem was steel bolt 'earth' mounted on Ali inner wing! New cable run from battery negative, problem solved.
