Hey Ian, I've only got SVX type crystals at mo, they're not brilliant (pun intended), though I don't want spend a fortune to be blinding everybody.
My commute has a lot of narrow lanes and the dipped lights don't seem to be adequate. QRZ 2e0vpf |

Well that would improve your current set up, but appreciate lack of time. Been there many a time myself!

You can have both, best of both worlds.
Although LED's draw a LOT less power, fitting a loom brings the load down from around 2A to mA's. Extending your switching life to permanent really, and always backward compatible. Definitely recommend the Land Reiziger loom. ![]() ____/🇬🇧🇺🇸\____ _//*⛽ï¸ðŸ›¢ï¸âš™ï¸ðŸ§°*\\_ |

I have heard these fashion items don't produce enough heat to melt even light snowfall causing dangerous blackout?

^^^ mine are next to useless in the snow!
But at least we don't get much down south, Heated option would have been best! ![]() Regarding LEDs, I wouldn't rush out and buy another pair. ![]() Wanted, Forward Control Anything considered. |

headlight loom and uprated bulbs has transformed mine for pennies compared to LEDs, my headlight are bright white, my spot lights on the LR spot light loom are noticeable yellow by comparison, so I need to address them in a similar way. Appriciate what you say about LEDs I find them annoying when coming towards me and when people flash them behind me I think its a speed camera DEFENDER 90 TDCI XS,
I hope everyone is well and your land rovers make you happy |

Not 100%. Certain, I think the newer Trucklites have something to heat the lens. 2007 110 TDCi Station Wagon XS |

Truck-lites do a heated version of their 7" headlight.
Please note that these units were made for the American military so are for LHD vehicles not for UK RHD vehicles. These lights do NOT carry a genuine APPROVAL mark from UN ECE so are NOT road legal in Europe. My understanding is that the heater element wires in the lens cut down the light output so that it can not meet the requirements of UN ECE regulations for approval. We have not experienced any issues with the LED headlights getting snowed up so doubt it is an issue in the majority of the UK. However I have been told using rainex decreases the chance of them getting snowed up. IF you do go out on a frequent basis into bad snow conditions. Use LED headlights as main headlights and some standard halogen lights as optional headlights. Brendan |

I had Trucklites fitted for around 16 months but I didn’t like the narrow light spread as we travel on a lot of unlit roads, ended up changing to the Nolden units which give a much wider spread and better high beam output.

Not sure what they stock but Nene Overland have some pretty good Black Friday discounts at the moment. FlatDog also have discounts just before Christmas.
