Speakers arrived....

I really should have waited before I cut the holes as not all 4" (10cm) speakers need the same size hole...

Anyway all it good.

Tried it briefly using Bluetooth on my phone, Very good ! Its loud also. Few more jobs.

Drill hole for power
Use the computer fan covers or the speaker covers? not sure yet.
Make handle stand up to protect amp
Safety catch to stop lid folding back.
Refit aerial so I can use radio better (unsure how to do this...) google is my friend.

Nice bits if I can.

Get it to run on battery / 3 way switch.
Voltage display

As it looks with the original speaker grills on.

Looking good!

Fan covers would maybe suit the ammo box better but not a big issue.

Rather than modding the handle could you fit a couple of u bolts either side of amp to protect it? Loads of sizes on eBay.

Not going to get chance to look at mine for a month as away for the next three weekends. Off on Sat to Glen Affric to stay in a camping pod as kids have a long w/e off school. Like you still have a trailer to finish also!

Finally got mine finished.

Ran it for 4 hours yesterday without any drop in battery voltage. Goes pretty loud with hardly any distortion.

Cool Smile Thumbs Up

I've added a different handle to mine, works great and as you say very loud, funny enough its in the kids lounge and I was in their this sunday doing some jobs and it was on most of the day Smile

Still not made it with a rechargeable battery its either powered or I use a AA Battery pack.

The next thing I may have a go at making is a Jerry can holder for car bits such as tow rope tools, or even one for jack...
