rear "sideway seats" for Puma
Hi
Is it possible to fit those sideway rear seats that were in the previous Defenders (and take out the new front facing seats in the Puma)?

I think it was done on a LHD 110 puma with a v8 conversion in a magasine feature a few months back, not legal in the UK & probably europe though.

The wheel arch isnt flat so there maybe some fettling there.

And as stated - not legal in Europe! Mike

In that case yes!

Possibly some spacers under the front edge of the seat and some reinforcing plates here and there, no worries.

My 100" has rear wheel boxes made from 5 bar tread plate and some cut down 110 rear seats fitted a treat.

And as mentioned there was a twisted performance V8 engied Puma with sideways facing bench seats in one of the mags a few months ago, so it can be done.

A re-inforcing sheet of Ally and spacers in the front to take up the gap and you will be fine.I took out my Puma tub seats today to make room for camping equipment. Thumbs Up Puma 110 SW

Definately not type approved and not legal...i just asked the neighbour to check.

Not legal and the dealer getting away with selling it are two different things Thumbs Up Mike

Duckworth Land Rover have just taken delivery of loads of sets of rear bench seats for Defender. Give them a call as I am sure they will be happy to ship some to SA. Thumbs Up

This is sounding interesting - can you give me a website address or email address for Duckworth?

Where are you Marius?
