Looking for some GoPro advice please
Hi, as per the title looking for some advice and help to sift through the varied offerings available.

Never had an action cam but being pestered now by the kids to the point that I probably agree it would be a good thing.

Would be used for the following; winter sports - skiing mainly, UK and Europe, landy off road (obviously), Beach/Swimming/Snorkelling, Boat/fishing, road trips.

Priorities for me would be ease of use & battery life but not having used one there are probably many things I'm not aware of.

Any thoughts/opinions gratefully received. Will consider 2nd hand/discontinued models if they do the job.

Cheers,
Martin. 1996 300Tdi Defender 110

I have a hero u can buy them for £100 which is 2 button control
Or u can spend 150-200 and get a hero session which is 1 button(click once to start-stop video or click and hold for pictures)
The hero the button on the front is to select the modes (video, picture etc) and also hold that button to turn on and off
The button on the top is for capturing press once to stop start video depending if u are on video mode or not
And just press once for picture if u are on picture mode

Both very good quality picture and videos and after fully charged both will last for 5-6hrs!

How did you get on with your GoPro?

I have just received my gear yesterday, as you'll probably see in 'new post' section.. Regards
