Off-road Monkyes black only. Matzker side door hinges black or silver according their website. Eric You never actually own a Defender. Neat meaning tidy, smart, elegant, etc.? Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, I guess.
But Croytec are British I have to admit, these here which I discovered with their reinforced greasable and replacable bearing are merely German engineered, German quality and German production of course. I'm still looking forward to see them on my truck though. Eric You never actually own a Defender. To be honest I prefer this design over the Croytec ones, but then again as has been said beauty is in the eye of the beholder For those who like Welsh Mountains and narrow boats have a look at my videos and photos at..

Yes, they are. Luckily we have Germans to improve them. Low hanging fruit actually. Eric You never actually own a Defender. Not worried at all about that. These grease nipples are easily accessible, so just before putting the gun on give a quick wipe. Quality grease nipples don't let anything in without the pressure of the grease gun i think. I think these nipples are far less exposed than the prop shaft grease nipples, and also those never posed me any problem. And I have no plans to dip my truck up to half the doors height into sticky dirty mud anyway. Eric You never actually own a Defender. I never realised door hinges were ever going to be a talking point... for me they should be out of sight like every other car on the planet.

But they aren't out of sight, which is fine on our 70 years old designed cubes. But as we all know the bearing of the genuine ones often will start rusting leaving those gorgeous rust water streaks on the door after driving in the rain. This seems a perfect German improvement to me.

Never had rust issues with the door hinges on my 110 Puma which I owned for 8 years from new. Simply put a light coating of Vaseline on the heads of the hinge fixings and lightly oiled the hinge every few months.
