I'm usually lying on the cave floor looking up into the underbelly of a defender!!! The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again but expecting different results.

Rolling with laughter
It is the unalienable right brother (or sister) of every def2 member to lie unmolested on his (or her) own cave floor looking up in to the underbelly of his (or her) defender (defenderess) with a large bone!!

Utter crap. My nieces sexuality is EVERYTHING to do with her and defines the way she lives her life, her "alternative' attitudes, her "alternative" politics and way she sees herself as "special" (her words not mine)
It also leaves her open to ridicule, not from people who hate her, but from people who care about her, along with all sorts of other stuff. People who have a sense of humour. People who, more often than not, also ridicule themselves to an equal degree.
I know a long joke about an unemployed jazz pianist with Tourettes Syndrome. I don't tell that joke because I hate the unemployed, dislike jazz, can't stand piano players or sneer at anyone with Tourettes Syndrome. It's simply funny.

Also, if we're going to nit-pick, I have to say that your above comment could be regarded as offensive to people with quite long arms and short legs who reside in caves.

There are lots of straight political activists. I never hear their sexuality being used as a reason for it. Its totally irrelevant, or at least should be.

^^ Fixed that for you. Very Happy

As an aside, a person's sexuality become an issue when that person chooses to flaunt it at every opportunity and make it an issue. Most normal people keep their sexuality (and many other things) strictly private in an admirable and traditional way. I have no wish to know if one of my colleagues is lesbian since it has, quite rightly, absolutely no bearing what anyone does in the workplace.

That's why it's listed in the "off topic" section Whistle The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again but expecting different results.

You're quite right, I once worked for a company and we had a meeting, at this meeting a new member of the team was introduced to us and we were asked to go around the group and introduce ourselves, usual crap you know how it goes. Anyway, his new member stands up says her name and that she comes from wherever and that she's a lesbian, there was a bit of a silence. I went next, stood up, said my name where I came from and said that I was heterosexual. I was Censored at the end for taking the Censored and making her feel uncomfortable!! The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again but expecting different results.

^^ It's slightly less controversial to introduce yourself as a Satanist, and no-one has a clue how to react!

(For the record, I am not a Satanist, nor am I a lesbian).
