my defender 90 1997 jap to NAS spec conversion
hi everyone,
new here and wanted to share my defender90 journey which started with a 1997 japanese spec station wagon. she fell on her side off a dune and that gave me the chance to change some things..
i sourced an original NAS spec rollcage and a fibre glass hood (very lucky i must admit). then my mates convinced me to go all the way.. expensive i must admit.. but worth it..
ashcroft transfercase(with lim slip atb), HD diffs, GKN custom shafts, ashcroft airlockers, HD antiroll bars, adjustable electronic HD shocks with progressive springs, bumpstops. RPI stage III 4.6L mated to stage ashcroft 4speed auto.
puma dash, sports seats, linexd bonnet and arches. i do a lot of saluki training so a defender carrier also materialised..
here are some pics.... the journey started 4 years ago... tedious, expensive, rewarding.... and id do it all over again..

thats a lockable heavy duty rear stabiliser bar kit. with the soft sand and sunes her along with the raised and short chassis i had to stiffen her up and reduce roll... works like a dream.. car handles corners morestable than before....
