 You sound as though you are on the same page as me - I was just thinking last in the hopeful chance that I get one soon what I would do when I got it - this included painting the chassis and rear cross member with POR15 then spraying it with a matt black chassis paint made by the same firm. I would take out the nuts also not to spray/paint over them!
By the way my old Boost Alloys went the same way and I couldn't do anything about it......... |

Zagato - I'll get them refurbed here if I have to (did a superb job on my BM alloys):

A good quality satin black spray works OK

That could be a good plan Toshers, using a radiator roller, might try that on my Series I have to re-do
Strange what the black spots are Dote, considering they are Alloys and shouldn't corrode. Would be interested to hear what your firm says the problem is. Nice picture, you really are in a superb spot |

Just spray it with Halfords satin black spray paint, thats what my LR dealer does. 2008 RS4 gone, 123d M Sport, and a Puma 90 XS..

Plastikote Satin Black is also an excellent product providing it is decreased thoroughly and an undercoat is used! Window catches were swapped out under warranty twice for 'bubbling!' Did them myself with aforementioned product and are holding up very nicely! Well worth the time and effort!

Black Deproma Rustproof worked well for mine. Nice satin finish, easy to apply, and can be applied over rust, wetness, and even greasy spots without problems.

make sure you use a good rustproofing undercoat first or the rust will come through in no time.
