I'm going to be getting under the chassis this weekend to start the lovely job of wirebrushing.
Normally I just spray old oil underneath from old engine changes, however I was looking at the Opie oil site and came across this stuff: http://www.opieoils.co.uk/p-114485-acf-50-...itres.aspx Sounds very convincing... any thoughts before a drop nearly a ton on 4 litres of this gloop? |

Someone will pipe in about Buzweld too in a bit, it seems they have good marketing, and product placement.
But my recommendation would be Dinitrol |

FCX is better than ACF 50 but neither really for this job Mike

The thing with Dinitrol is they do a range of products, dependent on where they're used. So there are more runny penetrating waxes for spraying into cavities, and more solid products to resist wash off in wheel arches and the outsides of a chassis.
They also do heat resistant products for use in engine bays. |

Bilt-Hamber is also well worth a look as they do a range of rust converters, cavity waxes, underbody waxes and high zinc primers in aerosol or bulk. Rustbusters is another option they do fe-123 which is a rust converter which seems to get good reviews in the classic car magazines, they also supply Dinitrol bulk waxes in more sensible container sizes than other suppliers.
