Engine Fault

I have had a 2004 TD5 since last year and never had any issues until today; it was serviced last month and there were no problems. While out driving, the engine started to cut out but then recover, and the ECU and glow-plug indicators flicked on while the temperature gauge dropped. It had no problem starting but would have the same problem, especially when trying to go uphill.

I've got it home but wonder whether this could be an oil leak getting into the ECU or problem with the injectors; I would appreciate any thoughts or advice.

2005 Defender 110 Td5 XS DCPU Bonatti Grey

I had similar symptoms in my 2005 TD5, it turned out to be one of the relays under the drivers seat

1. Oil red ecu plug
2. relay under driver seat
3. earthing battery to chassis and to transfer box also C0556 ecu earth in driver seat box

Thank you for your suggestions; it was an earthing issue to the chassis. Now sorted.
