So, after my original binnacle finally fell apart and landed in my lap after hitting a pothole, I bought a Raptor binnacle and pod. Dead easy to fit, you just need to remember to secure the two redundant dash light bulbs from the no longer needed heater controls. It takes a bit of jiggling to get all the bolts to align, and a 1/4 drive ratchet with an 8 MM extension socket would help to get the 2 securing bolts at the rear.
I haven't yet purchased the bezel cover, am undecided on the brushed alloy or the black finish. Whilst it was all apart, I decided to fit the Landrezieger heater blower upgrade. This does away with the primitive all or nothing blower/airflow control on the left of the dash binnacle, and replaces it with an infinitely variable fan control. Again, it was extremely easy to fit. The only point to note is that the control box mounts onto the side of the heater blower box under the bonnet. The instructions have photos from left hand drive. On my vehicle it fouled the bonnet when closed, so I gave moved it to the front face. I had to extend the wires to do this. Yes it's well worth it. I've got total proportional control of the fan speed, from 0% to 100% power. Just by sliding the standard looking slider up or down! Note- it does not improve the power of the fan, it just controls it far better than standard. ![]() 1966 S2a 109 aka Betsy |

FWIW! My experience is that full speed (high I guess) blows a lot more than the standard switch will allow? Anyway to echo what you stated it is just better.
