I always do it that way before the APK (MOT).
My procedure: Put the handbrake on to see how many clicks I have. Take the handbrake off. Get under the 90 with the right socket. Oops wrong one, get the right one. ![]() Get under the 90 again and tighten it and lossen it again 1 quarter. Get in the 90 put the handbrake on again and check for the clicks. Take the handbrake off again a drive a little to hear if it makes noices and off to the APK (MOT). Or even quicker is what I do just before MOT time.
Take the handbrake off, get underneath and tighten about 1/2 a turn... er thats it. its usually enough to reduce the travel of the lever just enough - you don't want it too tight and I always leave it in gear anyway. |
