Which steering box do I have? 2001 TD5 90
Hi, my steering box seems to be weeping at the input seal. How easy is it to replace just that seal? I need to know which type I have, 3,4 or 6 bolt before I order a bag of bits. Which bolts are we counting?
Are there any links to "how to replace my steering box seals"? Mike

if look at top steering box see how meany fixing bolts for the top flange 3 or 4, 6

Hi, looking from the top, the top cover has 4 bolts. It also (perhaps irrelevantly) has 4 fixing bots to the chassis rail.

How easy would it be to change just the input seal? There seems to be a shield over the oil seal? In-situ? Mike

Top cover has 4 bolts ok that's the type you have Thumbs Up
