First Drive
Took the truck out for a drive as the weather is good now. First impression is very good. Air down to 15Psi and high range. Needs to get used to get the right momentum. Its a completely different feeling compared to Automatic SUVs. Totally different from the Nissan Patrol(Y61) that I'm more familiar with. More drives required and looking forward to weekends

Looks great in those big red dunes!

Like the 'sand flag' mounted at the rear Thumbs Up In Oz, most peeps put them on the front bullbar, which is more distracting. What tyres are fitted btw? YOLO... You Only Live Once...

The 'Sand Flag' is there to make vehicles hidden behind adjoining sand dunes, easier to see.

There have been many cases of guys running into each other as they approach the same sand dune from opposite directions at high speed and not seeing each others vehicle until too late! YOLO... You Only Live Once...

Thanks Guys

As mentioned by YOLO flags are required to avoid running into each other from two ends of a dune or incase you are bogged down, to warn others. Very useful.

Tyres are 235/85/R16 BFG KO2 A/T.

You are allowed to drive anywhere in the desert as long as its not private property.

Plenty when the weather is good.

Want to keep it stock as much as possible. Been reading the forum and you can have a big list. don't know how to prioritize the mods.

Looks awesome. I'm in Dubai for the next few weeks on a contract and would love to get out into the desert (no Defender with me unfortunately). Is there anywhere you could recommend?

Hi

Try "Arabian Adventures" desert drive. They are part of Emirates Group and have sunset drives. Starts at around 3-4pm and finishes at around 10pm with dinner at a camp in the desert.

There are many who offers desert drives, but Arabian Adventures are the best
