In this case you should ask Massai. I personally doubt that it is OK, because it takes too much light from the brakelight. WANTED:

Not sure I'd get a reply Rolling Eyes They make nice products but they dont seem to have the best customer service.

Just took a photo of mine and as you can see, the top centre light shows up perfectly OK in bright sunshine. At night its a lot better of course. I dont think the tinted glass is having much effect on it. As you can see I have five brake lights so there's no not noticing I'm braking or indicating Thumbs Up Whistle

In France clearly everything is possible. We have plenty of French cars on the road here in Geneva with no or only 1 working brake lights (actually saw a French camionette today with its left and right brake light not working, but at least 2 odd LEDs of his center brake light LED bar still worked Rolling Eyes ), but you are compensating for all of those with your 5 brake lights. Thumbs Up And they all work at the same time. Shocked How un-French. Rolling with laughter

Looks like minimum 60% tone down...so your brakelight is approx 30% darker than before which is not at all allowed in the EU. WANTED:

SII or SIII in max 1.5k

Business in France? Shocked Think that is not allowed by that Socialist government at all there. Not in summer and certainly not in winter. Country of fonctionnaires you know. Rolling Eyes And if they would do business there, they would have no time for their, euhh regular, strikes. Rolling with laughter

I can see this thread leading somewhere. Whistle Rolling with laughter

On subject, I'd tend to agree with Peter @ Nakatenenga regarding the lights.
It's an issue between, looks and functionality and laws. _\Hennessey|Venom| F5/___

I'd rather stick to talking about the subject rather than resort to country bashing. Rolling Eyes I'm not French BTW, I just live here because its warm and sunny Very Happy

What I'm confused about is whether or not the top central brake light is a required light in the EU?, if not then the issue of the tinted glass is irrelevant. If it is a required light and the tinted glass is an issue, I presume the two LED top brake lights I had added means I still comply with EU regulation?.
