Handbrake Cable Replacement
The handbrake cable has snapped on my Puma. I have found some posts on here that point to the job of replacing it being quite simple. Then I read things like 'remove the prop' and use of imperial tools, which make me nervous. I am at best a basic DIY mechanic so the fear of messing this up and leaving me with a car I can't drive is a distinct possibility! Has anyone done this? Is it something I can tackle? If not, any recommendations for mechanics around Huntingdon/Peterborough?

You could always get it replaced for you, on a ramp it wouldn't take long.
Obviously as I'm sure your aware it's critical to secure the vehicle if working under it with no handbrake.

Mine snapped a couple or 3 months ago, (TD5 CSW) yes you do need to remove the prop, which is helped massively by having the right tool which is about a tenner online. getting the retaining clips back on the handbrake shoe retaining springs is a PITA, again I think there's a tool for it but I only had pliers etc. apart from that pretty straight forward.
