Wildcat V8 Install
Thought i would start a build thread on here to detail the LS3 install i am starting with Wildcat. Having spent the past few months discussing this with the owner i made the commitment over the weekend , and paid my deposit. The options are dead simple, 430hp LS3, GM 6 speed auto with the Wildcat Steering wheel/ paddles, new cooling system etc and full SS exhaust. They will also fit my full Twisted suspension and AP BBK racing kit and well as some upgrades to the steering. I have the boat booked to deliver the defender early next week.
I will keep the updates and pictures coming over the next month. Thumbs Up

Pretty!

Does that still keep a transfer box, 4 wheel drive and low range? Or will it just be a fast road defender?

Smart. Should be unstoppable.

I see you are doing the brakes, are you staying with standard axles, half shafts and diffs?

For now yes, let things settle in. I will then speak to Ashcroft / Quaife perhaps about some options. Andy

Wow! Very jealous as this is on my wish list!

Looking forward to seeing the progress of this!

Also nice to hear it retains the transfer box.

Take it they don't do a manual option? -2015 Defender 90 XS Landmark-

Completed lots of research, I am not ashamed to say I don't off road but I am using the defender day in day out and love it. I have always wanted the auto box and makes sense to do both together. Andy

Pretty sure they have done in the earlier installs. Andy
