Sound deadening disks
2mm-ish thick by 275mm-ish (don't have one to hand admittedly  ) Antiphon Disks.
Double sided so one side sticks to the panel, the other to the carpet or different layer or just leave the top layer on. I have used these in my roof with self adhesive foam over the top and it made a difference. I couldn't directly compare to things like Dynamat or skins but has made a difference to my 200Tdi. The manufacturer Antiphon claim "The weight of antiphon® LDTM material is half the weight of common bitumen pads with the same sound reducing properties." This may be tosh but as I say I haven't compared directly. I have approximately 30 disks available, 50p a disk sound ok? Postage between £3 -£20 depending on how many you need.
