Very very cool.

Cheers for sharing.

Interested one day in doing similar with mine. How was all the resealing between panels managed? Is it hard to get it 'factory fresh' in that regard?

Also, how long was it off the road? Solved the bowel problem, working on the consonants...

Full brand new brakes, vented on front from a 110 I believe, also new clutch from a 130 heavy duty and new standard OEM take off springs.

Quick pick of interior and the rest is history.....gonna fit a double din with a stainless surround when I get around to it but no rush as I'm still listening out anyway.....also a new cubby box that actually works, I'm fancying an LRI Solutions one.

Oh heated screen fitted, heated seats and central locking, very modern Surprised

Thanks agentmulder, it was off the road for around 12 months I would say, I just took my time, if your not in the mood on a weekend then don't go near it is my advice, I'll be honest with you getting it all aligned is a frustrating job, the rear tub was a pain in the arsenal, probably spent two weekends tightening and untightening and adding washers measuring removing replacing ahhhh every one will probably comes out of the factory different so it's all trial and error.
Front wings also a pain probably same again two weekends but it's all to the mm now, I think one side has one washer at the bottom chassis mount and the other side has two Confused
Luckily my painter aligned all my doors which saved me a headache Thumbs Up

Thanks GEllis, it was a place advertising on eBay who specialised in exchange 300s and 200s that I used in the end, the local firm I've used for any engine work over the years had just recently closed down and all the other locals were either too busy or wanted 2k plus to even start the job. I sent them my engine rather than use a recon for authenticity, it needed a rebore and new Pistons to boot plus a turbo rebuild total £1800, so I would say £1500 to 2k but it should last forever if looked after properly, to be fare mine had 200,000 on the clock but was smoking a fare bit but apart from that seamed ok, just wanted it rite 👍
