I've got one of these on the back of the cubby
https://www.caraudiocentre.co.uk/product_m...-31239.htm Also changed the rear speakers for some Focal PC100 ones .. http://www.caraudiodirect.co.uk/focal-performance-pc100 The sub made a massive difference and the Focals improved quality also. Next is replacing the fronts and tweeters with these .. Focal 100 KRS 4" (10 cm) 2-Way Component Car Speakers 100W https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B007YZEIJI/ref...LxbN3P62BQ .. But that's another £230 and not sure of the benefit. 2008 Defender 110 XS SW - M57N2 / 8HP70X |

Hi,
I changed standard speakers for Pioneer that I got off Amazon they are advertised for Defender as they fit exactly without an alteration drilling and so on. Then focal tweeters as they also fit with a bit of insulation tape to make snug. Have sent pictures. I think from memory £150 for all 6. Big improvement on sound quality but without full on soundproofing IMO not worth spending a fortune. I did look at Alpine subwoofer but happy with what I've done. Hope that helps.

You'll get better improvement IMHP from an active sub than speakers, but both together is even better.
A passive sub abd Amp trumps the lot but comes with a significant price tag unless it's tat. |

Its a huge improvement over the previous one. I am surprised at how much better to be honest. I need to look into one thing though, I think I read on here that you can change the volume levels for the different sources. Currently I jump out of my skin every time I go from bluetooth streaming back to radio. Its just a matter of getting the manual out and reading it I should imagine. --------------------------------------------------------------- |
